All,

My fiancé and I completed the K1 visa process. We got all the way to packet 3 and never received packet 4, which is the medical exam. We haven't heard anything in 5 to 6 months. We finally were able to make contact with the NVC in el Salvador to get a status. Has anyone ran into this issue?

Thanks,

Did you stop after getting the packet 3 without any sort of contact? Your petition may be expired by now - they might think that you abandoned it. I saw you got your NOA2 last July....?  Have you not done anything pro-active for your case since that time, just been waiting to hear from them?

When you were able to make contact with NVC to get an update what were you told?

Thank you for your response. My fiancé attempted to contact the embassy in El Salvador. I also attempted to contact the NVC and their phone line was always experiencing high volumes. We recently sent an email to the embassy requesting information. We advised them that we had not received any emails. They responded and asked us to send them some of the information that we submitted in packet 3 in order to continue with the visa process.
