Hey guys just a quick question and something that has been on my mind

so i'm visiting my girlfriend next year January or February and i have visited the USA to visit my girlfriend 3 times on my Portuguese passport and the ESTA on my Portuguese passport has just expired

Now i've just become a British citizen on Feb this year (lived in the UK since i was 3 months old) is it okay for me to apply for a ESTA on my new British Passport to visit my girlfriend next January/February the reason i wanna use my British passport is because they are leaving the EU and i wanna have a smooth entry back home

Is this Okay?

Yes, you can visit the US on any valid passport of your choosing.

fyi you can also use one passport to enter the US and another to re-enter the UK, if you so wish. Generally the only restriction is that you have to use the passport of any country of which you are a citizen, to enter and exit that particular country.  So assuming the UK follows the usual rules, you have to use your British passport to exit and re-enter the UK. You can use that or any other for entering and exiting the US.

Not sure there are usual rules. UK does not have exit controls and unlike the US does not require it citizens to enter using their British passport, now why you would not is another matter.
