Hi guys,

I wanted to make a quick question...
So, Early December I sent out the application for Green card and EAD , and today when I checked the status online it says "New Card Is Being Produced" and that's for the Green Card. Did anyone receive their Green Card this quick, and before the EAD card? I'm confused

Congratulations! Yes, I've seen here cases when I-485 was adjudicated and green card issued before EAD. You're one of few lucky ones. I wish we had such luck. Very happy for you.

My husband received his green card 4 months after applying and never received his AP or EAD.  He had an interview though.  We got the notice for interview 3 months after applying but never received any updates on his AP or EAD.  Some people bypass the EAD and AP and go straight to the Green Card.  I think it mainly depends on the city you apply in and the case load they are facing.

Congrats btw.  :)

Didn't get an interview, thank God lol, and I agree, I think it depends on which city you apply in. Thanks for the answer :):)

It certainly happens that it's going so fast for people that they'll receive their green card instead of the ead first.

Perfectly normal but barely happens! Congrats!

What happens if you already filed for EAD renewal then suddenly your green Card arrived? Can you cancel the processing and refund the renewal fee?

EAD renewal is free with a copy of your old EAD and your I-485 application acceptance notice. Hence, there's no refund. Did you hire an attorney who charged you for filing an EAD renewal? I see that happens all the time.

Thanks! No attorney. I thought it has a fee.. I'm just wondering the "what if" that ever happens to me because now my AOS is still pending and I'm just worried about the fee.
