You can file for N-400 90 days before the 3 year anniversary of your GC date.  So if your GC date is March 2016 (your 3 years is March 2019), the earliest you can file your N-400 is December 2018.  If

My wife had the interview for AOS, it was really easy though ( went with her). I'm hearing that almost all are getting interviews now.

Interview over, and the GC was approved.  You were correct as it was quick, easy, and painless.
