The poisoning of a former Russian spy and his daughter looks "awfully like it was state-sponsored attempted murder," a senior British lawmaker said Monday.

Tom Tugendhat, chairman of the Foreign Affairs committee, told BBC News it was too early to know for sure, but he was expecting to hear from Prime Minister Theresa May on the subject soon.

"And, frankly, I would be surprised if she did not point the finger at the Kremlin," he added.

May is chairing a National Security Council meeting to hear the latest evidence and is expected to update British lawmakers Monday around 4:30 p.m. local time. A spokesperson from the prime minister's office told Sky News the government will "respond" once they identify who is behind the poisoning

Totally not a surprise at all. Also what I heard yesterday from the Foreign Policy guy I listen to: just last year his son died if mysterious circumstances as well, so they are going to assume his grave as well.

What about the other dead Russians that have died in the UK over the years that the government refuses to comment on? I guess they have to make an acknowledgement when they put thousands at risk.

The Kremlin is moving from thuggery to terrorism, time for Western countries to step up.  The problem is the Prez appears asleep at the wheel.

I was listening to BBC last night and they were discussing this, as was pointed out time for the UK MSM to focus on the real issues and not Trump bashing.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

It seems that the UK government for a long while were afraid of loosing Russian money invested in the country, but these latest events have forced them to get serious.
