originals of police cert for embassy interview

Hey guys,

 

Just preparing for my embassy interview. I no longer live in New Zealand but had to obtain my police cert from NZ, so they have emailed me it through in pdf.

 

if I print this will it be ok? It says bring original documents, but I only have a pdf. They wont post an original to the UK.

Yes I understand that, but as stated I wasn't able to obtain one. I have a signed pdf that I will print, will this cause them to deny me?

Just ask the embassy directly, prior to the interview.

Explain to the CO why you don't have the original---it's really up to him/her whether or not the print out will be accepted.  Or call the embassy and ask if scans/printouts are acceptable.

 

Personally, if it were me, I would first contact the person/department that emailed you the PDF and stress that the certificate is needed for immigration purposes and the original/wet signature/sealed copy is required.  I would also offer to send an international money order to cover the shipping costs if that was their only concern over mailing it.

I would exhaust all means to get an original before the interview. Otherwise, you could get a 221g .  This site says that they will mail you the document.

Thanks for all your help, yes they do mail them but only to a NZ address. I'm going to have someone in NZ mail them to me. Thanks for your help.
