My wife did her CFO appointment the day after her K-1 visa interview.  I went to the visa interview and waited in the hotel for her while she had the CFO appointment.  We had all of our documents in a binder (birth certs, my divorce decree, passports, photos together, etc) and she took it all.  She said the interviewer was impressed when she showed her my passport, not a copy but the actual passport.  Not a requirement, but seemed to help take the heat off of her according to my wife.

She was approved, but since she didn't have the visa yet she had to go back for the sticker.  She went back the day before her flight to the US and had no problem.

My wife told me the K-1's seem to have it easy..

How did she still have her passport after the interview at the embassy?

My wife bring all aditionaly requested documents to the counselor and finally got a certificate. But it was again a bad experience for her. Her counselor complain again about everything and was very unpleasant. She tried to find any reason why not to give us a certificate and she looked very dissapointed that she couldn't find any. She also tried to make new requirements like a copy of ID of parents.

Before going there my wife printed something in a copy center near CFO and a sales lady told her they are very strict under 23 years of age and some girls even needed to bring parents with them.

Our counselor was 54 years old woman who is still miss. Maybe that's the reason why she's so strict on other happily married couples.

Funny  is that my wife probably doesn't need to attend it anyway because she got a short term family visit schengen  visa so it's not needed. So they didn't give her a sticker to a passport.

So it costs us additional  200 USD and one week without sleep and we were so stressed about it.
