Yes I booked already because I want her to be soon with me. Her flight out is next Saturday Mar 24th. So my plan was she will fly to Manila next week on Wednesday, get her passport the same day and on Thursday 22th finish her CFO and get a sticker. But I have read on this forum that they can request again some additional documents so maybe she should go to Manila this week just to finish CFO. Its waste of money but compare to price of two tickets to my country its nothing.

Does she already have her visa yet or you guys haven't done the interview yet?

She apply for visa on Thursday and next day they called her from embassy that her visa is ready for pick up. It took only one day to issue a schengen visa for her as a family member of European Union citizen. So CFO is our last step and the problem.

What makes you think the passport with visa will be ready on the 22nd?  Embassy already issue the visa?

Stay with the process you have started at CFO Manila, gather the documents they have requested.  Ask your wife to not be so timid .. that was the blood in the water for the sharks at CFO.

Read through the link I gave you earlier, if there is something on the list there that you have not provided, gather that up and be ready for them to ask for it.

He said that they already got the visa. This is not for the USEM it is for a EU country visa.

She has her visa already?    What I read in one of his posts wasThe problem is she doesnt have a passport with visa yet.   "   and then there was the comment about picking up her passport (with visa I gather) on the 21st (Wednesday) and get the CFO sticker on the 22nd.

Yes I was going with USEM on this, after all this is a U.S. visa process forum  ,  but as you stated it is a EU country so the visa process could be very different and he already knows for certain the visa and passport will be ready on that date.    At least I would hope so, or that is a huge gamble buying airfare before visa issuance.

Thanks

Hank

My fiancé just attended her CFO seminar yesterday in Manila.  She was asked repeatedly about my ex Filipina fiancé who actually came to the U.S. and disappeared on her own accord within 30 of being with me.  The counselor even wants to speak with my ex.  Good luck with that wish them luck finding her.  What a habitual liar she turned out to be.  Anyway, back for a round two soon.  So glad I have a good one now.

What is it with these CFO counselors?  They are almost Stalin-like!

Just wish we could go back in time to the PRISM days and how they wanted almost everything from people. Talk about bad experiences.

You would have to admit that her disappearance would raise warning flags in an organization whose mission is to inform and protect.  They be overreaching, intrusive, bureaucratic, and incompetent, but a red flag is a red flag.

Finally done.

My wife was on her 4th visit and hopefully the last to get her sticker today. But guess what, the counselor for the USA, her husband died and they don't know when she will be back to work. My wife got all kind's of harassment about my ex-wife. She tried to dispute information in my divorce decree as if I was lying to my wife. My ex tried to include bad info about me in the divorce decree. The judge crossed these items out because they were unfounded. The CFO counselor tried to bring these points up and question my wife about them. Total waste of time and money. The commute for my wife is almost a half day just to get there. We are so frustrated.

You know the story, give someone a little bit of power and it goes to there head.

And then you have the Filipina mentality, Taught to "Fall In Line", Never question Authority, and never complain.  You get the perfect storm at CFO.

My wife did her CFO appointment the day after her K-1 visa interview.  I went to the visa interview and waited in the hotel for her while she had the CFO appointment.  We had all of our documents in a binder (birth certs, my divorce decree, passports, photos together, etc) and she took it all.  She said the interviewer was impressed when she showed her my passport, not a copy but the actual passport.  Not a requirement, but seemed to help take the heat off of her according to my wife.

She was approved, but since she didn't have the visa yet she had to go back for the sticker.  She went back the day before her flight to the US and had no problem.
