You're within normal processing time. They are currently working on August and September petitions. If you fill out your timeline on here, you can get an estimate of when you may receive NOA2 based off of other's timelines.

I fully agree!  While practically daily, I would check the time lines, and for me, they were pretty accurate, within a few days at the most.  the more people who fill out their timelines (and update them) the more accurate they should be!

Hi, I filed a K1 petition for my Dominican fiancee in November 2017. I used the rapidvisa.com service. Although we knew from the start that there could be a long timeline for getting an approval, we are three months in and getting impatient. The only communication I have received from USCIS is confirmation of receipt of the petition mailed by rapidvisa.com.

Is it  useful/effective to now secure an immigration attorney in hopes of speeding this process? Or maybe once the petition is with USCIS, it "is what it is" in terms of processing time?

Thank you for any thoughts on this.

Best Regards, John

Hi, My fiance filed in August 7, 2017 and we got approved on Feb 22, 2018, so 6 months.  Since them she have been calling  NVC every day, and today they told her that they received the case last friday but still in process...no case number assigned yet :(. Nothing speed the process. The best thing to do is when you filed sent USCIS a good binder with everything posible that prove your relationship.

Good Luck :)

Thank you all for your kind responses. Understanding that this is a process we cannot influence is a great help. Serenity Prayer.
