Not sure if this answers your question but I filed on Oct 19, 2017and have been in line for an interview since Jan 5, 2018. Today, i spoke to a Tier 2 officer and he said that as of now May 2017 applications are being processed and mine is from October 2017 Iso  should expect an interview letter in the range of April 19- July 19 of this year.  April 19 because normal processing takes 6 months.

If anyone else has relevant information about the New York field office processing times please do share.

Well 8 months for you is March ...... ( You didn't give your exact date) so if you don't get the interview letter by April, you can call Tier 2 officer and ask about your status.

This is not an exact science and we can only make estimates. The May 4th date processing is as of Feb 15 so I would check back March 15-20 to see if this date has moved forward. The 8 months timeframe is based on the assumption that the processing moves forward by a month.

Does anyone even know what exactly it means "processing" - is the case receiving an interview date? Are they just starting to look at the file to make sure it can go to the next step?.....

My PD is 11/7/17. Status is that my biometrics were reviewed. The online account says completion date July 2018. Those dates just don't line up.....

(the old ELIS says that interview was scheduled and letter wlll be sent, but I assume that is just a wrong message).
