I started my k-3 process in oct/2006 and it was approved in dec/2006 (I-130 and I-129f in the same day). Your husband needs to do an appointment at USCIS local office, so he can get some information about your process...

not totally true as theres another option. contact your local senator, who may act on your behalf and try to find out some info for you. thats what i did and was approved a few days later.

Hi , I am a sept 2006 I-130 filer and I have communicated with my local senator who took my wife's information and since then I got no response, I have also requested additional inquiry by writing letters to VSC, nothing seems to work, calling NCSC is waste of time as they only gave me whatever info I could see on the web page. Any one has any better idea what to do except patientfully waiting??? my case has not been even updated since Mar 29 2007. Watching delay on my I-130 approval, I filed K3 on Mar 2007, that one also last updated on 03/28/2007 and no result since then... I felt I am the only unfortunate person on this journey...is there any one who has similar facts to share???

Congratulation Khalid.... now it's look like I am the only one left on the boat... I did all I could do... calling NCSC, getting senator's help,requesting expredite request... all.... please let me know what is left... I long do I have to wait... and the processing date for vermont center never changed from March12 2006 since last december... It has been told on the web that local office cannot provide your application status related information other than what you see on the web therefore, I never tried for an appointment through info pass.

Hi singha, Congratulation on the approval!!! so you filed only I-130? I thought I would only filed I-130 but watching the delay, couldn't help but file I-129F(k3) and now both of them are hanging.... absolutely no touch since 03/29/2007... according to your information... the second touch was the approval it self??? was that true... did you check constantly??? I mean everyday like I do???

I am so Sad to learn that you are as unfortunate as I am, All these days I was thinking I am the only person who was rowing this boat of patience, now I got a company. I wish you best of luck in this. Form me it's nothing new though, when I came to this country in 1997 I got my green card from USCIS after 10 months of waiting where everybody who came with me got there within 2-3 months. In 2002 when I filed for Citizenship, it took me 2 years, where my other family member experienced only 6 months waiting. My sister filed for husband and he came within 8 months, now I filed for my spouse it's already 9 months and it's not even approved!!! where my sister's petition took only 45 days to be approved. When my cousin filed for his wife last year, it took only 60 days to be approved.... I will be the very last person most of the time to get his luggages off from the luggage lounge at the airport.... So this is how my life will go I guess.... I hope your story is not as same as mine... and you will be approved shortly... by the way Did your case got updated ?atleast!!!.... My cases were updated at the end of March for the last time...Since then it's seems like they forget about this one... I see people around me who got approval after filing on March 2007... can you imagine...to same VSC... isn't it totaly unfair to us... and we can't do anything about it.....

My stroy is not differnt from you. I am so surprised to see that our situations are very similar. I also came here in 1997 and it took me more than three years to get the citizenship. My green card, however, came on time(within two months after I came here). I just want to tell you, however, that when I applied in Sep 2006, I applied through my green card and now, I just got the citizenship last month and updated my wife I-130 petition. Did u do the same thing?? Still, I have not heard anything from VSC about updating my petition. I compltely understand your situation and can feel your pain. I have been married for more than three years and was stuck in this citizenship hell. I will PM you. I think we should keep in touch. Best of luck to you too. One thing u should do now is put an inquiry through Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman and tell them that there are petition that got approved in three months and u are case is unreasonably delayed.

After going through many painful inquiry process my quest to get approval on my I-130 for my wife is ended(Only approval part...yet the NVC and consulate part to be completed). It should be in the grenitch record as the highest waiting period since filing while no RFE was required. I have never seen a delay like this specially if there was no RFE (Request For Evedences) wanted. I am not sure whether they will submit this I-130 to NVC soon or wait for my I-129F which I filed on March 2006 and has been sitting at VSC (I was told it was sitting with my I-130 together...then how come one is approved and another is not??) Any way, I am happy atleast the main I-130 is approved. Thanks to you all for your support.
