Does the hospital keep your vaccination booklet/send it to the embassy?

Hello Everyone,

 

I'm curious to know whether the hospital keep the vaccination booklet (the one from childhood) with them/copy it OR forward it to the embassy?

 

I'm assuming the use it purely just for info and give it back?

Sorry for the late reply.  (Better late then never...)   This information is specific to the Medical Exam performed at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok Thailand (likely where the original poster will receive their exam).   

 

The quick answer is that the Hospital will return your vaccination booklet(s) to you during your exam.  

 

They will review your vaccination booklets to help determine if you have fulfilled the required vaccinations necessary for you and your situation.   (Note:  not all vaccinations listed in Packet 4 are necessary for all people.)  If you have documentation of all necessary vaccinations for your situation, you will not need any additional.   If your vaccinations are incomplete, the hospital is able to provide them to you, but they will be much more expensive than completing them at the Thai Travel Clinic or Thai Red Cross.

 

There is a specific form the hospital will complete that will document your vaccination history and will be included with the sealed Medical Packet they will provide to you after your exam is complete (This package is made available to you a day or two after the examination and it will be necessary for you to return to the Hospital to pick it up.   You will need to bring the sealed package with you to your Interview.   The Hospital will not send it to the Embassy.)
