My fiance recieving antuity from his past wife died (health insurance) so we decide to wait u til he is 55 to get married means need to wait for five years but he visit me one month every year for five years , now we decide k1 visa cuz he is goin to be 55 this october . We have lots of proof pics, gifts, reciepts, plane tickets etc. I read one post get denied visit 3 times , should i get same problem too cuz we wait 5 years ? Then k1 ? Being a couple for 5 years will not in itself be a problem for a K-1 visa. But there's more to being approved than the length of the relationship. The officer will look at the application as a whole and make a decision based on that at your interview.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!
