I contacted my congressman for an expedite and this is what I got back:

This message is in response to your request regarding Petition for Alien Relative, which was filed with USCIS on October 10, 2017. I went ahead and forwarded your expedite request along with the supporting documentation to the Form I-130 unit supervisor at the Nebraska Service Center (NSC). If the expedited processing request is granted, this case will be assigned to an officer for further examination in the adjudication process.

We are unable to determine the date on which Ms. LeBeau-Jardim’s Forms I-130 case will be assigned to an adjudicating officer and when the adjudication process will be complete. However, if you choose to follow-up with the NSC Congressional Unit after approximately 15-20 days from the date of this email message, we would be pleased to provide another case status update based on the future inquiry from your office and available information.

I am so confused... did he do both an expedite request and an inquiry!?

They're telling you to wait for the expedite to be either approved or denied. After they make a decision on the request to expedite, then they'll adjudicate the petition.

I requested an expedite based on severe financial loss on my own on Feb. 9. They accepted my request and approved my I-130 on the same day. It seems they move pretty quickly when it come to expedites. Good luck!

I requested an expedite at NVC also, but they haven't assigned me a case number yet, and the expedite was denied. I'm hoping to get the case number in the next 2 weeks, then I'll request expedite again. Never giving up!! We still have a long road ahead since my husband will need to file waivers for inadmissibility.

Hi, first of all congratulations on getting your expedite request approved. If you do not mind sharing what was the reason for expedite? What is the evidence you submitted for financial hardship expedite?

Thanks in advance.
