Comparing one obscure statement by a moron to the utter lack of knowledge among most democrats about guns is quite the attempt at a strawman. If you are pushing restrictions or even outright bans of something you better know what you are talking about and most democrats obviously don't.

Are a vast majority of republicans making the same statements as this moron in an attempt to ban abortion? No. Are a vast majority of democrats making ignorant uneducated statements about guns to try to scare people into banning them? Yes.
