Here’s where I’m currently at:

Received NOA2 a couple of weeks ago, case is currently “At NVC

booked medical today for 4/4/18

applied by mail for Police certificate today also

I have not submitted/completed ds-160 or the readiness form and I have not booked my interview yet

what should I do at this stage? Do I just need to wait until embassy (London) receives my case and wait for them to mail me or is there anything I can be doing in the mean time? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Wait for your police certificate to come through first.

Submit your Ds160 in the meantime.

Then book your interview for at least 2 weeks after the medical takes place - this gives time for Knightsbridge Doctors to get the results over to the embassy (I believe they are working a little slower than usual currently). But make sure you have your police certificate first before you do this just to avoid any issues (in case it's not delivered on time etc)

Make sure you have all your required vaccinations and get a vaccination record from your GP

Get a summary of your medical records from your GP

Get the I-134 and supporting documents from your fiancé (or sponsor) sent over to you.

Start looking at the things you need to do before you leave the UK - P85 (notification to the tax man you are leaving the country) and everything that needs cancelling, insurance, phone, sky, giving notice on house, work, close credit cards, change address on bank accounts or close them etc - it’s a good idea to try and plan ahead as much as you can in this process as a whole bunch of stuff needs a notice period.

It will keep your mind occupied if nothing else :)
