Hi guys,

I had my interview yesterday at 1:30. The CO asked me some questions about my wife and our relationship. It took me around 15 minutes or so. Then the officer gave me a paper which shows that I have to bring the taxes of a joint sponsor and my passport back. He thought that I didn't have them. I gave him the taxes at the spot. Then he tore the paper and kept my passport with him and said " well buddy I have nothing to say, I am not a Judge, good luck with your passport when u want to get it back " does this mean that we are approved or what ? My wife and I still confused.

Thank you so much guys

I am sorry to tell you that this didn't sound good to me. Why  would he mention a judge and say good luck getting your passport back? it was very sarcastic way of talking to you and to be honest it sounded as treat instead of approval. IO hope that I am wrong on this.

I agree with @Going through questions need to be answered.  Were those his EXACT words?  Those statements sound a little strange.  However, the good news is that he kept your passport.  If it was a definite denial, he would have given it back to you.  I don't think he meant that you will never see your passport again....

He tore the paper that stated that you needed to bring the tax information? Generally when they keep your passport, it's a good sign. If he did indeed tear the paper that was going to be a 221g asking for tax info, it sounds like an approval...

Based on everything posted, I tend to agree.  But there is still a chance of a lengthy AP since this is Morocco.

OP, what does your online status say?

I would agree with that - sounds like an attempt at humor that did not go over all too well.  With keeping the passport and getting rid of the paper, I would think that would be a good sign.

"well buddy I have nothing to say, I am not a Judge, good luck with your passport when u want to get it back" - change the punctuation to:

"Well buddy, I have nothing to say, I am not a Judge, good luck.   With (regard to) your passport, when u want to get it back?" and the meaning changes dramatically...  Could that be more like it?

If you are looking at the timeline, it states a "FB-2" visa, not F2B...  Ie. based on the reading of the OP, this wold be a FB-2a visa, ie. for Spouse and Children of LPR - at least that is my thinking...

My wife's interview, in the PH,  yes they kept it as well, as they needed to create her K1 visa in the passport.  They did, they did a typo, voided it and created a correct one.  Perhaps this is why they kept it.  I don't know why the tax papers were torn up, unless they were sufficient to move the visa along .
