Hi, you will need to write a simple letter stating your basic info such as date of letter, who you are , who petition is for and say why in general you want to cancel. No gory details required.

Send the signed letter (signed by petitioner only) to CSC (california service center) unless for some odd reason your petition is with another SC.

Attach a photo copy of your NOA 1. Send with delivery tracking so you can have peace of mind that the Service center got it.

Monitor the APP tracker on your phone or on line and after about 30 days or so they should update to show case withdrawn.

If they approve your case via noa2 before they input the withdraw then it will be much much longer and more work to withdraw as you will have to try to stop it a NVC but it will only be there in the system for a few days.

Once it is sent to embassy then you will have to contact them for withdraw.

Anyway hopefully you can get the letter to CSC with NOA 2 ASAP.

Good luck

Are you doing CR-1 instead?

Steven

Withdrawn petitions are shown online.  You can use the app and find withdrawn petitions.
