Hello All

I promised myself that i will post as soon as my interview was done

N400 Application Sent - 08/09/17

N400 PD - 08/10/17

Biometrics Letter Received - 08/18/17

Biometrics Completed - 09/07/17

In Line for Interview - 09/11/17

Interview Scheduled notice - 01/30/2018

Interview Scheduled - 03/08/2018

Approved - 03/08/2018

Oath Scheduled - 03/15/2018

My interview was scheduled for 03/08/18 for 12:45. I arrived at the Charlotte USCIS office at 12:15. There was no one at the security line, took me maybe a few minutes to get through. I had to remove my belt, shoes and anything in my pockets. The guards were extremely nice and wished me best of luck

I went into the waiting room and provided my interview letter to one of the officers behind the first counter. She took the interview letter and told me to have a seat and said she would call me by name. I waited for about 20 minutes before she called me, once I went to the counter she gave me back my interview letter with a token number written on it.

I sat there till 1:15 when the IO came and called me by my name. My wife was asked to stay behind. I followed her through a set of double doors and then to her office.

She had me put my folder with my evidence on a chair, had me stay standing and take the oath. Once the oath was done she had me sit on the first chair and she went through the first half of the Application

Confirmed my name, my date of birth, social, current phone number. She said she was going to stop there and get to the Civics and English portion of the process

Started with the questions

1) Cant remember :(

2) When do we vote for the President?

3) How many US Representatives?

4) How many years do we vote for a US Representative?

5) Who is the father of our nation?

6) Who is the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court?

Overall Pretty easy questions - breezed through them

Next was the reading and writing part of the process

She had me read "When do we vote for the President?"

She had me write "We vote for the President in November."

Once that was complete. She did not say anything but went back to my application

We went through the Yes/No questions along with Travel and Employment questions

She asked me if i took any trips abroad during the time i was waiting for the Interview and I said yes. She made notes on that

She asked me if I changed jobs or anything like that, I said yes and she made a few more notes

When we got to the Citations part, i told her that i forgot to mention a ticket that i received in California in 2014, all she has asked was if i Paid it and I said - No Evidence was asked

The suddenly she stopped and said Hey why did u apply under the 3 year rule and not the 5 year rule. I said I was applying Naturalization based on Marriage, she looked up something on her computer and she said i was fine. She mentioned that i was eligible both ways!!! Got me really nervous at this point.

She was really fast in asking the Yes/No questions. She was very nice and courteous. Once everything was done. She had me sign the application two times. One for the information being correct and the other that i understand the Oath.

Once that was done she said "Congratulation i am recommending you for approval, if my supervisor approves it, you will get a Oath Ceremony Letter today!"  She also said that if she comes back to get me that something was wrong in my application

She escorted me back to the waiting room. Wife and myself sat there patiently and about 45 Minutes later an another lady comes and calls out my name with three others. (Extremely nervous at this point!!!)

She said that our Oath was scheduled for Mar 15th@9:30 AM, she went over the oath form and when to fill out the questions that are there. Told us to come 30 Minutes prior and dress formally.

That was that.....Yay i am so excited!!!!!!!!
