We applied for his AOS in March, and didn't get the interview until October. Received card in January, 2006. Yes, it does take that long and longer, LOL.

But hope it does go seamlessly for you.

What in the world are they doing that takes so bloody long??!!! They already have every single possible detail about both of us. Photos, finger prints, and even blood in the case of my husband! For cryin' out sideways - what else could they possibly be doing?

Yes - I'm venting - and I know others have waited far longer - but DANG it's frustrating!!!

Soooo - in the mean time, what should I be doing or preparing for? What if we get to the point where his EAD and AP expire? Does he have to stop working?

rant all you want if it makes you feel better. you are still in an OK place processing wise. IF you get to the pointt where you are 4 months or so to the expiration of the EAD & AP REFILE! many of us had to to do that.

none of this is really a big deal, but to answer your original question, YES is does take this long often times, sometimes longer sometimes shorter.

Yep...that's where we are at the moment. Gonna refile for EAD in about two weeks. Been waiting over 9 months. Yeah....it can take that long...and longer. *sigh*

Thirty two months and counting...honestly.

Everything else has gone so quickly and easily for us, I guess I'm just spoiled!

Check out my timeline - does it really take this long to get the green card? If so, then fine, but if this is just totally abnormal I need to know how to push the issue to get this fixed.

Thanks all!!

Happy Spring Time!
