Do they not train tier 1 or something? How can some people who don't listen or make wrong assumptions work in customer service? Do they just want to be yelled at?

Basically, yes. It's an entry level position with very little access to anything or permission to do anything. It's also called the misinformation line for a reason. What's the issue?

I'm still a firm believer that they can mess with your case somehow if you're too rude to them or bug them too much, so I suggest not losing your temper with them or calling too often. I know how frustrating it is to deal with them but I guess it's not always so easy on their part either, I don't think I'd want their job..

I called them to check the status of if they received my passport photos.he said they did and then started to assume on his part that my fiance and I did not meet in the last two years (I have mountains of proof of relationship and intent documented) and he blamed the processing delays on me and when I spoke to an attorney with 20+ years exp she even said an rfe comes sooner not 8 months after the fact. The CSC is slacking on their end. but in the call I kept my cool the whole time. I thanked him for his help.

 

I hope he finds true love one day to fully understand.

I'll take their job and do it a lot better (6 years healthcare exp)

An RFE can be issued at any point prior to approval, and practically occurs once somebody actually looks at your file. Right now, 6-8 months is the timeline for an I-129F. It's a little on the long side (I think like 7 is average), but within general expectations.
