Hi all,

My partner and I are filing for the K1 fiance petition, and have a few questions in regard to filling out this form, as I am planning on moving over from Australia.

I have previously lived in the United States on a J1 visa and had a Social Security Number, and I am curious if that number would still be valid. I still have an active US bank account and I assume my SSN is attached to that - so I'm trying to figure out whether to include that number on the form or not?

The other question I am curious about in regards to filling out this form is that my partner's parents are deceased and we are unsure what to include as an answer for the question for their place of residence? Do we answer where they last lived, or declare that they are deceased there?

Hope somebody knows, as we really want to get this right!

You have one SSN for life so that number you previously were allocated is yours forever. Include it in the form.

For people who are deceased, just write “deceased” in the “place of residence” field.
