I'm not sure why people want to live in a place where you have to prove your immigration status all the time. I could write a headline talking about Cheerios and if I tacked in 'illegal' people'd demand that immigration status be proved with duplicate identification before purchases of breakfast cereal.

I had to prove my immigration status in the UK in order to get married and I have to prove it every time I get a job. I don't feel hassled or discriminated against because people are trying to enforce the law...come off it. Let's not enable the illegals.

I suppose being against illegal immigration means I'm a dirty stinking racist evil Nazi whose sh!t doesn't stink. Do I understand this correctly? Personal attacks aside, I'm not going to say what I think of illegal immigration enablers. Tell you what, though. The personal attacks aren't hurting my feelings, because I feel I am morally in the right. So go ahead...attack away. I don't really care what you think.

I haven't made any personal attacks. I don't think the UK's model is the best one for the U.S. to follow, because the UK seems all too eager to flush liberty down the toilet in the name of security. That's a disagreement, not a personal attack.

If I wanted to call you a dirty stinking racist, I am more than capable of typing it. As it stands, I don't believe that's the case, but I don't think your argument is amounting to more than bluster.

And what have I done? I fell in love with someone I met at work...OOOPS MY BAD! You're right-I guess that means I deserve to leave my country, my family, my job, my degree and everything else I've worked for in this life to go live in Mexico because my husband's presence here would just ###### up your little world. Seriously, get over it!

You said it, I didn't. Illegal is illegal. You're definitely not going to change my mind by attacking me, and now that you have I'm putting you on ignore. I don't think that will mess up your little world, but it'll certainly make mine quieter.

You know, it's really quite childish to have to tell someone you put them on ignore. If you want to put them on ignore go ahead and do it. You don't have to announce it to the board. I for one could care less who you have on ignore. I'm sure everyone else on here is having a much better day since you announced you were putting Heina on ignore. And feel free to announce to everyone you've put me on ignore also since you can dish it out but can't take it. I'm sure you won't be the first one to put me on ignore.

And just to let you know, we aren't enablers if we aren't helping them be here illegally. We just know what it's like for them so we sympathize. I'm sorry you don't understand that. It must be a miserable life to never feel sympathy for another human being in a worse situation then you. Regardless of the decisions they've made in their past.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

If he's Mexican, he's probably an EWI...

Maybe he is, but there are many many Mexicans undocumented who entered legally and are now out of status.

Isn't it their Constitutional right to do as they please in a country they are presently illegal and not citizens?

I will re-state, in case it wasn't clear the first time: I don't care what you think.

So...because I don't sympathize with lawbreakers, I'm somehow incapable of human decency? That's the funniest thing I've read all day. I don't lead a miserable life, honey, but making sure other people don't is not my responsibility.

Have a nice life.

So glad I have no idea what any of that means.

I do, but I will stay quiet so I don't get the second prize on the geek award...

Jabberwocky. It's not a geek reference, Alex, just a literature one!

I didn't understand it either. I guess that means I'm not as big of a geek as I thought I was.

I was suggesting that quoting the Jabberwocky was pretty geeky.... but I think you have gone so far deep into geekiness that you can no longer objectively gauge it, hehehe
