can't go to an interview before having your i130 approved and as far as I know you can't file an i601a without having your i130 approved either. Because your i130 approval has to be sent to nvc and you have to get a case number and pay the fees before you can file an i601a. Now if you file an i130 and have it approved and go thru consular processing and go to your appointment before your i601a is approved you will automatically be denied and since you are out of the US already you will have to file an i601 and wait for approval in your home country and that could take over a year to be approved not to mention whatever wait time until you finally get another interview appointment. When you file your i601a the nvc is notified so that they do not go ahead and make you an appointment as you are not yet ready for one. Hopefully this makes sense to you and is helpful

We filed the i130 like 10 years ago.  It takes about a year if ur in the us when u do it.  About 6 minths if ur in ur home country.  We didnt have an interview after the i130 because we would automatically get denied because of my husbands asylum case started before our marriage.  Ur lawyer shouldnt allow u to go to any interviews before the waivers are all approved.  With just the i130 approval there is no guarantee.  It seems like that form is just an acknowledgment of marrying a us citizen

First of all thank you for your explanation Dalila..

I'm married a GC holder and am still in the US. We filed I130 in 2017 May still waiting.. 836 days still in process but my lawyer told me that we can go from 824 takes less time to get approval.. so it was and we have the 824 approval in 7 months.. and filed 601A on 2018 Nov but I recieved a letter from 130 side stating that I have to go to interview in the US with my spouse.. we weren't expecting that..

Hi guys! My lawyer will be filling for my RFE response this Friday. I was able to gather everything he asked me. Today I had a panic attack and it was the most scary thing that have ever happened  to me. I’m feeling better now and very confident that I will soon be able to share the good news of the Approval with you all. I received the RFE before my lawyer so this time I want to sign up for the email updates and hopefully get an email or text instead of waiting for the piece of mail.

How do I sign up for the emails or texts updates? Thank you all for the support it was essential on this difficult days! 💙

Hey Tyssa, Don't worry you'll get your approval in a month after you file your rfe believing that🙏.. and about that updates, basically just download the app from app store whic I attached the photo for u.. enter your case number and that's it. On Any single update on your case the app will notify you with a ring and e-mail if you prefer.. good luck thanx..
