Does anyone know what this means?

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) notified the National Visa Center (NVC) that you filed Form I-601A, Application for Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver. The NVC will continue to process your I-130 immigrant visa petition but will not schedule your interview pending adjudication of your waiver application by USCIS. If you have questions concerning the waiver application please contact USCIS at 1-800-375-5283. Please continue to respond to all requests for forms, documents, and fees that you receive from the NVC.

If you have questions concerning your I-130 immigrant visa petition please contact the NVC by telephone at 603-334-0700, or by e-mail at NVCInquiry@state.gov.

It just means that NVC is aware that you still have something pending with USCIS and they will wait for the approval before scheduling your appointment with the consulate. Once your Wavier is approved USCIS will let NVC know so they can close your case and schedule your appointment.

Hi guys. My I-601A was approved a month ago. Now just getting paperwork together and then lawyer will submit the case.

Can someone please shed light on what type of questions are asked at the interview and what does the medical exam entail? What is the process of psychologist and do they do a drug test. I keep hearing such mixed things online. Also in my case my father applied for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi All,

My Waiver Mailed to USCIS: August 14, 2018

Office: Nebraska Service Center

Received date: August 16, 2018

Biometrics letter received: September 7, 2018

Biometrics appt: September 28, 2018

After Bio done. I sent email to NVC, I applied for I601A... They answered me on October 2, 2018 USCIS did not contact with NVC yet.

Mailed DS-260 and I864-AOS to Visa Center on October 29, 2018. Received November 1, 2018. I asked them again, please holding my case due I601A approval.

I got email today, NVC received all documents from me and NVC will schedule overseas interview to me as next step.

I called NVC, please do not do this because I waiting for I601A will approve. They said USCIS never contact with NVC...so NVC do not know I applied for waiver.

Any suggestion? I already asked NVC, please holding my case until waiver will be approved.

Thank you for any help and advise.

my I601A was received on 3/9/2018 and 2 weeks later i received the receipt notice  my biometrics appt was received 3 weeks after they received my application, already did biometrics on 4/16/18 also on 4/9/2018 received an email fromnvc saying The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case. The
applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate
the applicant’s visa application.

so I'm so exited about all this but the time goes by so slow i wish it would be a little bit faster..lol anyways i guess i have to play the waiting game i don't have a choice, buena suerte a todos.:jest:

Hi,

I did same like you, I sent my documents to NVC before my I601A approved. I got same letter like yours NVC received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case. The

the applicant’s visa application. I called NVC today and NVC said Immigration (USCIS) did not noticed them I applied for waiver...

May, I ask how did you do? I scared NVC will schedule interview to me but I601A is still under process...I am in waiting time from August, 2018.

Thank you so much!

any 601a approved from May?

I’m from March 22 , and I’m still waiting, unbelievable, I was told 4 months when i send the application.

The current wait time for a 601a decision is 6-8months... if you go beyond that, make sure and do an inquiry to USCIS

Hello there! i don't know if you have a lawyer but in my case i did get my interview in my country Honduras for last august 11 and my waiver was not approved so what we did, we cancelled the appointment we will request a different interview date after we receive the approval of the waiver, this is the same thing you need to do if your interview comes first which i think it will be the case since is not taking more than 2 months for the nvc to schedule the interview in your country depending on the country, because i have heard in mexico takes around 90 days, don't panic if your interview comes first this is normal but make sure you cancel it before the date and also make sure you request a different interview after you get your approval, also you can cancel and re-schedule 2 before the NVC considers your case abandoned or closed.

Good Luck!!

Thank you so much for your answer and help.

I did my waiver with lawyer but I am not satisfied with him. He did lot of mistakes...NVC closed my case without communication one time because lawyer forgot to contact them. So I lost couple of months to reopen my case and paid fees two times. It was long story...So, I decided to send NBC documents myself. Everybody said here, NVC works on documents 30-60 days. So, I applied for waiver in August after 3 months I sent NBC documents too. And NVC accepted very quickly 15 days...

I contacted other person from my home country and they got interview in month period..so why I was in panic.

I really don't understand between two government agencies no communication. Why USCIS do not notice NVC yet...it's crazy. They are in serious delay.

Thank you again.

I understand your frustration, and what happened really sucks i think you should report that lawyer with the state bar, but one thing i know is you can never trust lawyers, think of it this way lawyers are just there to take your money and very few of them are going to actually do much to help you, so you need to be the one checking what they're doing, remember they work for you so you have to be the one pushing them, if you let them do what they want things get really ugly, if you need some advise or any information feel free to let me know unfortunately i don't know how to give you my email address since i don't know much about how safe this site is, if you can provide me anything to communicate let me know
