Hello Everyone,

New to this thread. I'm thinking the provisional waiver is taking longer now than 4-6 months. My I-130 was approved exactly in 6 months and our attorney told my husband and I the I-601A will take another 6 months.

My application paperwork for the I-601A was recieved April 30, 2018, Biometrics were done May 31, 2018. Still waiting for a response.

The NVC has stated I am in the queue waiting for interview. That letter was sent August 27, 2018.

Anyone with a similar timeline?

Hi, new to this thread, so glad I found it! It has been very helpful, as we were getting worried with our case taking so long.  We did not hire a lawyer up to this point, we filed with the help and advice from others who have gone through this process.

We applied and are waiting for my husbands i601a waiver approval.  Any advice on process going forward? We have not filed a DS-260 yet.

Our timeline:

Waiver Mailed to USCIS: April 9

Office: Nebraska Service Center

Received date: April 24

USCIS notified NVC: May 9

Biometrics letter received: June 15

Biometrics appt: July 3

Have you heard anything about your approval or appointment. My waiver was recieved April 30th and I am still awaiting a response on if it will get approved.

It’s been almost 8 months, and no answer so far , I was told 4 months for a approval ,😡

It‘s definitely taking longer than 4 months, especially if it’s being processed at Nebraska. Have you submitted an inquiry. Looks like they’re on April 10, 2018.

Yes , I have submitted 3 inquiries already, the last one I was told that was being reviewed by a office and they ask a 60 days to respond.
