It was first at the NBC (National Benefits Center) it never changed online, it just said fingerprint fee submitted, and until now it still shows the same thing. I had to call USCIS and ask them and thats when the rep said that the letter was sent today.

My receipt date was 1/14 and no answer yet. I put in an outside of normal processing time. But the only office I see listed for 601a is the Nebraska office ?

Thank you.... Yes I will. My layer has received the approval and said that they said that it NVC was notified as well and he will be contacting the visa center if we don't hear from them within a month. Will come back once we have a date for TGG.

Once the case was complete at NVC, how long did it take for you to get your appointment in Ciudad Juarez?

I'm starting to lose hope that our appointment will be before the end of this year :(

From what other people are posting in other forums it looks like it’s a 6 month wait from the time your case closes to getting your appointment. People with cc from April just started receiving appointments for November. When did your case get completed at NVC?

Hi, new to this thread, so glad I found it! It has been very helpful, as we were getting worried with our case taking so long.  We did not hire a lawyer up to this point, we filed with the help and advice from others who have gone through this process.

We applied and are waiting for my husbands i601a waiver approval.  Any advice on process going forward? We have not filed a DS-260 yet.

Our timeline:

Waiver Mailed to USCIS: April 9

Office: Nebraska Service Center

Received date: April 24

USCIS notified NVC: May 9

Biometrics letter received: June 15

Biometrics appt: July 3

Congratulations! Wow the Consulate in China works faster then the one in Mexico. I wish it would be that fast for us. Looks like my husband still has a few months of waiting before his interview. Congratulations 🎊🍾

Thanks!!!  It suprised us too when email was received 25 days after NVC documents were sent, and the interview date was just a month away from notification that really panic us.  Our lawyer told us to expect interview in November based on her experience after sending NVC documents.  Then finding out appointment was scheduled in September, she claimed that She must have done the paperwork perfectly, LOL.  I believe one of reasons that made the process faster was because we didn't use financial sponsor, our income was good enough to support a family of four, this is just my guess.  And one month is really tight for us because we have just got our police clearance process started when receiving the appointment date, which was to get fingerprints and power of attorney done in China Consulate in New York. Hope your husband will receive appointment date very soon!

Our 601a packet was received on 9/20/18 and my hubby finally got his fingerprints done yesterday!  I was so nervous about time that we ended up at the processing center 45 minutes before his appointment... the staff was so nice, processing him immediately after we arrived... we were out the door in 5 minutes.  Wouldn't it be nice if the entire process went this smoothly??  LOL
