So my husband submitted his paperwork for his i601a case in January, had his biometrics appointment in April. Received his approval on June 15, 2018. Does anyone know what’s next ? I’m guessing his interview in JuareZ? Does anyone have this time frame and approval?

Its about my same time frame. Keep us posted!

Awesome !

Did the ask you for a police certificate?

I have so many questions to ask my lawyer when we go to our prep meeting. The waiting game sucks!

It seems like now a day its a standard procedure to ask for a police certificate even if you came here as a child. If you don't have it just have your attorney send a letter along the other documents saying that you will provide the police certificate at the time of the interview. It will save you time. I heard its a pain to get one while you're here. They asked for police certificate with the Affidavit of Support documents. I just checked the box that it wasn't applicable to me when I sent the other docs. It didn't matter, they sent me an email requesting it.  Yes, waiting sucks!

We put my husbands i601a in the mail on June 19th.

The receipt indicates they received it on June 22.

Now we are waiting on the biometrics notice.

However, the receipt for the i601a says "Potomac Service Center is working on your case".

Does anyone else have this location looking over your case?

You were right. I did not include the police report because I was 16 when I first got in and never lived more than 6 months out of the United States. I got an email on 5/29 (which I didn't see for a whole month because it went to my spam folder) requesting the police report. I called the NVC to see what I could do, I didn't want my case to be delayed for another six months while I get power of attorney, consulate appointment for fingerprints and all that its needed. Good news, they told me to write a letter explaining that I will bring the police certificate at the time of my appointment. A month later I got another email saying that they have everything and are just waiting for my 601a approval... I got my approval notice in April. Have anybody got this kind of email? I sent a copy of my approval so I'll keep you posted to see what happens next. Fingers crossed!

Wow, sure looks like you got a break going your way for sure.  After our I-601a was approved, we sent everything to the NVC and after a month of waiting, we received the email stating we needed the police certificate.  They didn't give us the option to bring it to the Consulate interview either.  Took us a couple of weeks, but we eventually got it in the mail from my wife's brother and the NVC scheduled the interview a month later.

So the NVC has everything and is just waiting for your I-601a approval?  What approval notice did you receive in April?

Regardless, it sounds like you are inching closer and closer to the final goal.  Fingers crossed for you!

Hi everyone, so I've been following this thread for several months now and I just want to inform you how my case is.

601A sent in Dec 2017

I didn't get a receipt letter until June 2018 from Potomac

Biometric Appt letter received July 9

Biometric Appt today July 17

Since we've been waiting for 7 months now hopefully my husband will get approved within a couple of weeks.

P.S. a friend of mine is in the same timeline as my husband. Idk why ours took so long for the receipt and biometrics. We have a different lawyer.

My mom had her interview in Juarez on January 2, 2018 and was denied her visa based on knowledge of me coming to the US as a baby 33 years ago. She was eligible for a waiver and sent her petition (waiver 601) immediately. USCIS received her waiver application January 10, 2018 and since we are waiting. She has been in Mexico a little past 6 months. Does anyone know the approximate time that these waivers are taking to process? The website says 14-18.5 months but people say 6-9 months, others 12 months. Any experiences that you can share? Thank you

Same thing happened to my family. Our received date is 4/16/18 we have a long way to go.

Following... I have asked this same thing I have been unable to find much help on the Honduras forum. From what I have heard from a couple of people I know that are in the process it has taken them about 5-6 months to get an appointment. Please update when you recieve yours. Can you share your timeline as well? Thank you!
