Just seeking some advice from those currently filing through London, though perhaps other advice might be applicable.

You know how you swear you double-check and triple-check a form before you send it off? Well, I quadruple-checked our DS-230 Part 1 before I sent it off with the DS-2001 to the Embassy, and Bruce checked it twice. Six, count 'em SIX, viewings did not catch that we apparently ticked two boxes on the "Marital Status" item 9 -- Single and Married were ticked. Way to go us!!! I only caught it today when I was looking through a photocopy I retained. We did make sure to put down that this is Bruce's first and only marriage on the line provided, however.

Does anyone think we are likely to get penalised or delayed for this? We have already provided them with enough proof of marriage and relationship to sink, well, probably only a lifeboat -- marriage certificate, wedding snaps, cards, etc. Is London likely to overlook what is clearly a typo here -- especially as all other info on the form points towards Bruce being a married person?

Let this be a cautionary tale -- even sextuple-checking might not catch everything! I will now go back to obsessing about the imminent arrival of Packet 4...I hope...

Hi after reading your post, u are making me nervous too!! I sent my form two weeks ago and had my medical on the 30th of may...i forgot to make photo copies but i have other copies of the DS-230 form which i filled out and made mistakes.

Good luck on your medical, it's not bad at all...the dr and people there are really friendly. Hint : Wear clean undies!

I haven't had personal experience with it, but I feel pretty confident that they were either know that it's a typo or that the worst that will happen is that they contact you to correct it before being able to move forward.
