We sent my husbands packet out on February 1st. Last week on Monday they sent it back because we filed an expired form. If I would of been on this site sooner I would of avoided that. Any way we sent it back asap through overnight mail.  I am starting to stress. My husbands green card expires 3/20. The checks have not been cashed yet. We are worried his job my be at jeopardy. We have an appointment with our local USCIS office next Thursday if we don't have anything back yet. TRYING NOT TO PANIC but it is so hard right now. Any wisdom or advice out there??

Do you have something to prove it was postmarked ?  I wouldn't panic.....but prepare for a long wait...good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I think you should be good to go then and there is nothing to worry about. They will be sending you an extension letter soon.

Which service center did you send it to? My husband sent his to the California Service Center on 2/20 and it delivered on 2/23. We had the NOA1 extension letter in our mailbox by 3/2. Don't stress.

It will get there on time and you'll have your NOA before the end of the month. I know of another couple who submitted their documents and got them sent back (their payment was not the right amount) and they still managed to take care of all their documents on time.
