My temporary work visa ran out a year ago, and within that time frame, I've fell in love. I'm Indian, and my boyfriend is Mexican. We're a same-sex couple.

There are a several red flags in our situation:
1. We met only 5 months ago, and we've been talking ever since.
2. He's having financial difficulty right now and he can't make ends meet.
3. Our parents are unaware of the relationship (it's frowned upon in my culture and they've been looking to marry me off to a girl in India for quite some time.)
4. We'll be having a courthouse wedding.

When they interview us, since we'll be living together shortly after marriage, can the adjuncticating officer deny us solely based on these facts? We plan to live together under a joint lease, open a joint bank account, joint insurance, joint gym membership, etc.)

The thing is, we're really in love but I would rather not take the risk if it will mean getting denied and getting a notice to appear.

Once you get married, you'll have the time to start building the evidence needed by the time your AOS interview rolls around...

They cannot deny you based on a courthouse wedding, so don't worry about that part....lots of couples have courthouse weddings.

As far as him not being able to make ends meet, you can get a co-sponsor to meet the income requirements when you are ready to file....a friend or family member that is either a USC or LPR.
