My girlfriend from Japan has been visiting me in the US off and on for about 4 years via an ESTA.  She can fly over multiple times a year as I have access to inexpensive travel benefits.  Most of her stays have been long but within the 90 day allowable periods, during which time we do a lot of traveling.  Does too many prior visits affect the K-1 application?   I can provide more detail of the situation if it helps. Thanks for the info/advice.

it shouldn't, the border control officer permitted her entry into the country with no suspicion and bears no responsibility on her as she was there legally and was permitted entry. I too have travelled over to the US a number of times the ESTA to see my fiance and have never heard that this should be an issue!

Does not hurt or help as a K-1 and ESTA (VWP) are two very different visa types

YMMV

Thank you all for the quick responses!  They will help ease her worries.  Our main concern was that her visits were too frequent and too long (even though it was within the ESTA parameters) and that immigrations would take it as some abuse of the ESTA.

Thanks again everyone.
