We just received an SMS notice that our interview has been scheduled as well! It seems that maybe they are clearing out a BIT of the backlog in the Seattle Office. Since you asked before about which site: myaccount.uscis.gov has yet to update but egov.uscis.gov has updated. 

Awesome news...thank you for sharing this with us!  

It gives all the AOS Seattle Applicants hope that things are finally moving along!  Good luck to you and us all!

I would love to hear from any July 2017 filers for Adjustment of Status   from K-1 visa that will eventually have their interview in the Seattle field office.  Has anyone got their interview date yet?

Wooo!! Just logged in to check on my status on the USCIS website and noticed as of today it’s now changed to “interview scheduled”! Hopefully there is no delay in receiving the mailed notification!

Woohoo!! Thanks great news about the interview!!

 

With the Seattle office finally starting to make moves - does anyone know the approved providers to update medical exams? Since the delays have been so long, We are well past the 1 year it was valid for!

I have more good news for you. As of Nov. 1, medical exams are valid for TWO  years!

09/24/2016 - I-129F Packet Submitted, 09/26/2016 - NOA1, 10/27/2016 - RFE Received

11/02/2016 - RFE Reply sent

11/09/2016 - NOA2

11/21/2016 - NVC Receives packet

12/12/2016 - Case left NVC for BKK Consulate

01/10/2017 - After travelling via the slowest route possible (likely via carrier pigeon) BKK Consulate receives packet

01/16/2017 - Packet 3 Instructions received 02/28/2017 - Packet 3 Instructions Completed

03/05/2017 - Packet 4 received (now the fun begins) --> 03/29/2017 - Interview disappears from the schedule on the embassy website -->03/30/2017 - She goes to her interview, is told they need to verify her documents since she is Vietnamese interviewing in Thailand, receives a 221G with 'Verification of Viet documents' as the reason. Gave back her passport.-->03/31/2017-04/04/2017 - Case is being continuously touched. We suspect that our case was approved at this point but they didn't have her passport. --> 04/10/2017 (10 days after interview) - Email emabssy to inquire about updates and if there was anything we could do to move things forward. (3h later) - She is told that she is approved and to expect her passport soon (how when they don't have it in their posession?) After clarification, instructed to send our passport to them. Ship out passport in a rush to beat Songkran (which failed) --> 04/11/2017 - Passport at embassy according to Thai Post Office --> 04/17/2017 - Emailed to confirm they received the passport. They issued an evasive answer about Songkran backlog (they love evasive non-committal answers)--> 04/24/2017  Evening - Case changes from Immigrant Visa to Non-Immigrant Visa and a new case created date is given --? 04/25/2017 morning  (less than 12h later) - Case flies through Ready -->Admin Processing --> Issued

04/26/2017 - Checks mail, passport is there. No mention of it being mailed out. 

05/02/2017 - Arrives in the USA, without Issue

06/17/2017 - Marriage!

USCIS announced the policy change here: https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/Updates/20181016-I-693Validity.pdf. To clarify, there might be a small subset of K1 AoS applicants to which this doesn't apply. In reality, for most people, the time between medical exam and submission for the K1 is well less than 60 days. As such,  the two year validity would now be in effect. If, for some strange reason, you had the medical exam done far in advance, then unfortunately only get one year of validity.

I'm a bit confused about the 60 day rule. The memo states "A Form I-693 is valid only when a civil surgeon signs it no more than 60 days before the date an applicant files the application for the underlying immigration benefit". Does that mean 60 days before the K1 interview? We didnt schedule medical until we received our K1 interview notice (May 2017). Our interview was June 2017.

Yeah, I understand. I was curious what "submitted" meant but it seems like it means when you provide it for the K1 interview. The language was just a bit vague :)

Nothing here (but I'm a Oct 2017 filer). I did notice USCIS  just updated the timeline from 15 -29 months to 11.5 - 29 months.

Not yet!  But I'm hoping in the next few weeks to hear something!  I have a feeling I will know before Christmas.  But that's my optimistic  wishful thinking coming out!  😊

I see that you are just days apart from me (with filling out and noa1 and so on). I hope we get news soon! Do we need new to run new tests since it has been over a year?

I'm not sure. I understand as of November 1, 2018  The medical is good for two years. You just have to make sure your vacinnes are all completed.and up to date.  But I'm sure once you get your interview letter and date they will give you all the information you need. I hope we will all hear from them soon. That would be such a blessing!😊

Interview scheduled in Seattle for 12-15-18. Anyone else?
