Seattle office - July 2017 AOS from K-1 visa

It's crazy..I just saw that the "estimate time range" for the family-based AOS is 11.5 to 20 months..(checked on uscis website) and that the "estimate time range" is 11 to 17 months..

Early August 2017 filer here!

Yes! It appears to be a long wait.   However if you look at the site they say that about 50% of applications get processed within the first 11 months if I understand correctly.  Hopefully this is true. Someone I know just recently finished their interview. They got their letter and interview in 11 1/2 months at the Seattle Washington office.  Don't loose heart.

Well we will see then! I am down to 10 months 1 week of waiting since I applied and 9 months since biometrics..

I know it's hard waiting.  We are in our 11 month of waiting. So we hope our interview is around the corner and that we do not have to wait 20 months.  It's hard not knowing anything until you recieve that interview letter. But there has to be an end to the waiting at some point! Good luck!

Haha, it seems that the Seattle office is absolutely slammed. I haven't seen any new interviews scheduled on VJ since April. I am wondering if the increased scrutiny of H1b's is delaying the K1 visas.

Who knows.  I try not to make guesses as to why the slow or no movement.   But it is what it is. I try to tell myself to be patient and not loose hope.  That this too shall pass.

Hey All...Quick question:

My wife completed her biometrics back in Sept 2017 and received her EAD/AP combo card in early November 2017.

Since the EAD/AP combo card is only good for 1 year, how far in advance should we consider applying for a new/extended EAD/AP combo card if we don't hear anything regarding her AOS?

Hey! I got my EAD around the same time (October I believe) and because I was already under the 180 days left to expire, I applied for the renewal this month. I already got my "NOA1" and they send me a letter saying that because it has been less than a year since my biometrics (I got them at the end of September) that I won't need to do them again this time around!

Just looking at the time lines on the USCIS site for Seattle.   I see they have the time lines have been adjusted from 11 - 17 months now to 10 1/2 month to  23 1/2 months!  That's a huge leap of time!  Wow!

Today would be 1 year exactly when my wife and I received her NOA1 for her AOS, EAD, AP applications.  We had her biometrics completed last year on 9/19/2017.  We never thought it would take over a year to complete this process. 

 

We still have no word on my wife's AOS status.  We filed for an EAD/AP combo card renewal, just in case it goes past 11/20/2017 - The day our original EAD/AP combo card was approved.  

Just wanted to catch up with everyone whose AOS applications are processing from the Seattle service center, and see if you guys have had any good news or updates as.

I hope all are doing well...

Thanks for the upate.  I'm still waiting.  We got our first online notice stating that they were ready to book my interview on September 6th, 2017.  Then sometime Mid-summer it changed to we are booking your interview.  We have a large amount of interviews to book so you may not hear from us right away.  At this time you do not need to do anything. Then Last Friday it changed to the same message as the September 6th message only the date was changed to March 15, 2018.  This is a bit confusing cause the date it was posted was August 24th.  Weird!  Don't know if I should try to contact the office to see about this?  

Anyways that's where we are.  lol Still waiting!

Hi Rhemalove...is there a protocol or specifics on scheduling an in-person InfoPass appointment?  Has anyone reading this from Seattle ever scheduled an InfoPass appointment?  I just want to make sure our application is still in the system.  So crazy.

I think you can do this on line. Or just phone the Seattle office and make an appointment.
