Like any international travel, it's natural to be a little excited. My wife and I visit Barcelona next week and we're definitely amped up. Although I've never been to Lagos, I can picture it being a somewhat parallel experience to my first visit to Cali, Colombia. Be relaxed but stay safe. Be aware of your surroundings when you're out in public. Presumably, your love interest will know the region and customs. Rely on him/her for guidance. If it's the first time with your love interest, focus on him/her. Don't get distracted by too much other stuff. If it's a choice between doing something touristy or doing something with his/her family, choose the latter. Good luck, and have fun. Again, stay safe.

Thanks. I definitely hope to make her feel special. Sounds like she is planning for us to spend a lot of time meeting her family and friends.
