K1 Typos and Wrong Info

Hi,

My fiancee decided to send me something for Valentine's day and used the packet I sent her to grab my work address. In doing so we realized I put the wrong zip code 070 instead 090 ending, and that I forgot to provide the suite number. Also, I misspelled her work address by 1 letter. Should I send in these corrected or wait and see if it goes through regardless?

These don't seem major to me, but figured I'd ask here.

Just wait and see since it's just something for Valentine's Day. Typos like these happen. However, I'd be more careful with USCIS forms.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Where was the mistake made? On the 129f? If so, just use your WAC number and go on the USCIS website, create an account, and submit a change of address. It’s all done online.

I think they mean they used the address they put on USCIS forms and realized they made a mistake when sending out valentines.

I certainly hope the typos weren't made on the I-129F. Eek.

@jbpshsu If the typo for your address was on the I-129F, once you have received the NOA1 from USCIS, submit a Change of Address via this page https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/addressChange.do. This page can only be used for the US petitioner's address.

However, if the typo was in your foreign fiancee's address on the I-129F, there's nothing much that you can do to get that fixed until her embassy receives her case file. Once the status says 'Ready' on the CEAC tracker https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx, she will have to contact her embassy A.S.A.P to correct her address so that she doesn't miss any paper mail from them, if the embassy is known to send any out. And if her embassy is not one that sends out paper mails, then no biggie, she just needs to ensure that her address is entered correctly when completing the DS-160 during the K-1 visa application stage.

Thanks everyone.

To clarify the mistakes were made on my work address, and her work address (a k instead of a r) on the i129f. We only noticed after she tried to send me something for Valentine's Day to my work address and it got rerouted. No mistakes were made on either of our home addresses.
