K1 PETITIONER FINANCES?

Hi, fellow K1 couples. I have a few questions. It has been 137 days since I got NOA1. My timeline says NOA12 should be expected between May 4th and May 9th. I’m new to this K1 process. Btw, I am the petitioner. I know that I will be required to prove my finances and ability to support my partner. I’m currently working as an analyst in the financial services industry and make upwards of sixty thousand dollars. I do not really save because I have a large student loan paying back. I have very little savings.

  1. Will I be required to submit savings/checking account?

  2. Would my tax return and or a job letter from my employer suffice?

  3. What form do I have to submit to prove my finances?

Honestly if you make that much I wouldnt worry about banking records. Show tax transcripts and W2's and pay stubs to show that consistent income and should be just fine.

For the interview for the K-1 you need to supply I-134 form, supporting documents (I used 3 years of W2's, 6 current pay stubs, and letter from my employer showing my position, full time employment, date of hiring, hourly rate(or salary whichever you are).

Banking statements would be more for if you are barely making the cut and want to show you have extra money, or are entirely going off of assets alone.

I am agreeing with @Ben&Zian with this one. If you are making that much then only show your tax transcripts, w2's and pay stubs. You do not need them to look at your bank records if your making that much at all.
