We all know you need stamps to mail a letter right?

Well this guy decided to challenge that assumption by taping loose change that totaled 39 cents onto the envelope and mailing it!

He even taped an extra 5 cents for a tip!

I've done that when the post rate went up. Added $.02 to the envelope once or twice.

I've also used about 35 $.02 stamps on a large envelope. I was just mad that day.

Something the post office did!

When the post rate went up, I mailed three bills out with $.35 cent stamps, forgetting all about the post rate. The mail-lady took the mail and left a letter in my mailbox saying "you owe me $.12 cents". I thought she was kidding but the next day she left another letter stating "Don't forget you owe me $.12 cents!!!"

I was like wwwhhoooaaa she's not kidding. So i taped a quarter to a letter saying "Keep the change".....true story

There is an easier way to mail a letter without a stamp (at least locally.)

Just put the recipient's address where the sender's address is supposed to be

and drop it in the mailbox -- USPS will do the rest ("return it" to the "sender"

marked "insufficient postage".) :P
