Missing NoA 2

Opinions, pretty please.

 

We filed i-130 in Frankfurt (DCF) early Jan, I just requested case status since it's been over 2 months, and received an email that our case has been approved by them early Feb. That's over a month ago and we haven't received any mail or email about it. Should I be worried noa2 has got lost in mail or something? I would think I should of got the case number and next pile of directions to proceed by now.

 

Any thoughts or knowledge of the using timelines in these cases?

Thats quite unusual. You should have received your noa2 within 10 days of your approval. You should call to the USCIS and let them know

Got a hold of the NVC, they said NoA 2 is mailed out within 20 workdays. And phew, our letter was found safe and sound. We now can proceed the process. What a nightmare having it gone lost for a while.

Since the original poster is doing DCF the NVC will not be involved. They should instead contact the Frankfurt embassy as they will handle the NVC's normal duties for their process.

You probably should ask about your Case Number too. It's been a month since you got approved, it's probably there. And yeah NVC is not involved in DCF. I believe that the consular unit/immigrant unit of the embassy is the one that would give you your case number instead of NVC. Did you fill up G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance and gave it to them when you filled your petition? Just wondering because it's very unusual not to receive email notifications.

Our interview/medical letter for Packet 3 also did not arrive in our mailbox  interesting. I e-mailed the consulate after two months of waiting to find out they sent it literally the same day they received the package.
