This info and prompt list from Byron will save you phone time since you may have to call several times before you are connected to the service center...if at the end of the prompts a message tells you there are no officers available to take your call you will be transferred to the national call center (this is a waste of time) just hang up and keep trying to get an officer...it took me about 20 tries.

Listen for the choices and follow these steps ...i other words for the first choice press 1, second choice press 2, then 2, then 4, then 2, then 1, then put in your case number ( EAC AND THE NUMBER OR WAC AND THE NUMBER) then 1, and last 1....the last one will connect you with a live operator...then you say you are calling to inquire about the RFE ( request for evidence ) you got, baically you want to know what they are looking for. They will probably say that they havent issued one and thats when you ask what is the status of your case...say some dumb things like..." someone told me that after a certain amount of time waiting it meant that i have an RFE" or " My lawyer told me i had an RFE" say anything to make them think that you are not playing a trick on them.

Received my NOA1 dated May 31st from VSC and its now Sept 19 and still haven't received my NOA2 or any work for that matter. My case hasn't even been touched since then...

I need support...

I need tons of it.....believe me.

Hey fellow May filers! I have posted on here a couple times, but haven't really chatted much. Not to frustrate anyone more than we already are, but a JULY FILER got approved at VSC!

Mohammed & Tigris. Filed 7/17. NOA1 7/23. NOA2 9/18.

Now we obviously don't know the circumstances, and maybe they were able to file under special circumstances since they are from Iraq, so who knows. Congrats to them, but I just hope we start seeing more May approvals. The next time I see my fiance is when he arrives in this country, it used to seem so close but now it is just getting further and further away

Tell me about it! A few days ago an august filer got approved recently....Good for them but it sucks for us though....

Like many May filers, our processing times have already exceeded what the VJ processing times are (today, 134 from file date, and 111 from NOA1 date, for CSC). We are at day 138 since filing/116 since NOA 1. So why does my estimated adjutication date keep getting pushed further back? Or at this point, is it any point to wonder?

Congrats to those with NOA 2's this week.........all the rest of us, may this be OUR WEEK!!!

I saw this too...they might have had a military expedite. It's hard to see stuff like that though when so many of us have had to wait an unbearable amount of time.

I was watching TV last night and someone was being interrogated for information. They were being deprived of light as a means of torture. The interrogater asked the person how long they thought they had been there...the reply was 3 or 4 hours. The interrogater says, it's only been 30 minutes. When you are tortured the time seems to pass very slowly...and I thought, gee this is what the wait for my NOA2 feels like! LOL

Hey Mirla,

let me tell you it started out on the wrong foot...she first asked my name but when I asked hers she told me very rudely that she needs my case number first...I said to myself...OH GREAT ANOTHER PLEASANT ONE!!...but she turned out to be very sweet. I told her my lawyer said there was an RFE on the petition. The officer looked...said there was none so I asked if the case was pending...she went on the computer again and told me that it was assigned on the 14th and would probably be done before the 21st!!!!!!!!!!! I was screaming with joy inside. She then offered advice which I had already learned from here ect ect ect...We spoke for at least 30 min. It was definately the best experience that I have had with the USCIS so far...but I guess that wasn't hard to beat. Anyway that was it...be patient your day is coming very soon!!!

Well, at the request of my ever increasingly distraught SO, I called csc today and talked to a very nice and helpful woma( yes there is at least one at csc) She has told me my petition is with an officer and I will have an answer within 2 weeks. Let's hope it's sooner but at least I've finally seen some light at the end of the very long tunnel

How often do you think it is okay to call CSC? I called last Friday and was told nothing is happening with it but she will inquire, I got a touch then, and one on Monday, but nothing since. I'm considering calling again since some of you have actually had pleasant experiences lately. What do you all think? Does it actually help?

I called today and got through to CSC. Of course my petition was still pending and not assigned to an officer yet. The lady told me that the slow down in approvals had nothing to do with the flood of petitions they got at the end of July and that those petitions were not even on a shelf yet. She could not give me a reason for the delay other than the usual "it can take up to 6 months" BS. This time I see they actually recorded a touch after my phone call. I wish it would have been a real touch.

If Scott's timeline is the norm for early May filers, I am thinking I will not get approved until sometime next month, since I am a late May filer. I am still hoping that USCIS will start shifting into high gear this month and approve a bunch of people. Good luck everyone
