I am about to really lose it. Tommorow will be four weeks since we were apporved at my packet is still at the USCIS California office. I called them yesterday and all they told me was there was some kind of back log. So when I asked to speak with a supervisor they would not let me. I was so mad when the operator told me this I wanted to scream. So the operator said they would e-mail the contractor who takes care of shipping the documents and they would call me back. And guess what I never received a call back. So I am waiting for tommorow and first thing I am doing is going to my Congressman's office. This is totally abusrd I thought it was supposed to be days not months. Is any one else having the same problem????

Try calling NVC ( National Visa Center ) ask if they have a file number for you..

(603) 334-0700...give them your original case number and let them know you have a NOA2...give themthe date of the NOA2 also

It appears that the 90 day approval for CSC is now at 140 days. Hopefully we have many May filers getting approved before this month is over.

Okay, sorry, it's probably been said a million times....but what is the RFE trick, and what is it supposed to do??

So far RFE trick only works in CSC and the purpose is to speak to a live USCIS staff instead of listening to a VRU - voice response unit or customer service. BTW, RFE means Request for Evidence.

But what do you say that gets you to a USCIS staff instead, and then the what do you say?? That you have an RFE or what??

You should start out with 'small talk' to break the ice. Such as how are you doing today? Ask about the weather in CSC. Then bring up the reason why you've called. You might be lucky and he \ she will just ask for your receipt #. Ask if your case has been assigned to an adjudicator or is it still seating on the shelf collecting dust. Try to engage the staff perhaps you will be able to get more information out the staff. Good luck.

HEY EVERYBODY...I spoke to an officer today and my case was assingned on th 14th and it should be done this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy...I don't know what to do with myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received email that my application has been APPROVED.

Finally!!! My application was approved and I know there might be some people who filed earlier than myself but have not received approval yet. Sorry if I may have cut in line. But I am ecstatic now.

I am sure yours are also around the corner. I didn't get one touch since NOA1 and all of a sudden, I received NOA2 approval email unexpectingly.

Count me in............. NVC has not received our case yet. It was approved on the 31st of August.

It's been 1 month for us too! My fiance came to visit and just got home yesterday, I'm hoping that the NVC notice is waiting in his mail box since last week (fingers crossed)

He called the NVC 2 weeks ago, and they told him we should be getting it soon.
