I'm happy for you that your check has cleared your account. Another step in the K1 process completed successfully. Now you can just relax and start counting down the days until NOA-2 arrives. Prayerfully, all us will receive our approvals on time. Hopefully, CSC will go through the entire May petitions quickly after all the delay caused by H1B petitions. For some reason, I have this notion that we May filers are in for a nice surprise. With H1B petitions out of the way, I’m predicting that from ‘NOA-1 to NOA-2’ our approvals will average about 2.5 months provided there are no RFE's. I'll say AMEN to that!!

Yay for some action our cases! Glad to hear everyone is starting to move a little.

I think we're all in for the best Christmas present of all time. Obviously it's going to vary a bit, but from other timelines, etc, I think we'll all have our significant others arriving (ahhhh....forever...) in December. Hopefully sooner, of course, but that's my guess.

Well I guess I am in the May filer list. lol! Well the lawyer sent out the paperwork to Texas about a week ago? So I am assuming they have received it. But apparently Texas cases are sent to California. blah! Well hopefully I see some progress soon. My kids and I are looking forward to him being here by Christmas. *crosses fingers* They miss him badly and of course I do too. We shall see how it goes.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Hopefully you wil see him a whole lot sooner than that and everythng will get processed in super speed.

Yes, you can check if the money order was purchase through your account with bank of America by simply calling customer service and providing the details of the money order. Good luck and a speedy vj. - Cheers.

Filed I-129F on May 24 and received confirmed electronic receipt of Nebraska Service Center receipt on 5/25/07. Now the waiting begins. I hope Nebraska does NOT live up to the slowness I've been reading about. Who else has filed at the Nebraska service center?

And today of all days, the USCIS announced their fee hikes.

I know it doesn't affect folks who file before July 30 2007. But color me loco, I see some kind of twisted symbolism in filing today.

Anyway, anyone worked out the total difference for those who will pay the new fees for AOS, Removal of Conditions, Declare Intent to Naturalize and then Naturalize?

Ballpark estimate seems to be around a $1,000 but that is over a 3-4 period.

So if it really improves things at USCIS....ok, now you can really color me crazy if I believe that.

I read about the fee hikes too...that's crazy. I have to doubt it's going to help that much. Just like raising postage doesn't improve the mail service...but you never know.

I filed with Nebraska. I sent my application plain old mail, but I have to assume it got there at normal speed. It only takes 5 business days for a letter to get from Michigan to England via regular mail for crying out loud, so I'm guessing not more than a week mailing time.

I mailed mine April 12th, and they cashed my check, got my number, was "official" with receipt number on May 1st. So that was 20 days.

Again, I don't know how much of that was mail time, but I seriously doubt it was close to 20 days. Especially when you take a look at most Nebraska filers timelines and signatures, it seems to be around 3 to 4 weeks.

According to a link above in this topic that was due to receiving a ridiculously higher amount of applications than they were expecting in April. So we'll see, maybe they'll be over the hump now and things will move faster.

hi. my fiance sent our documents thru the post office last may 17. then, we checked electronically when it was received by the uscis in CA, they got it on may 18. however, we haven't received any confirmation from them that they really got it. hope we can receive our NOA1 asap and no more problems will occur.

Hi- if you sent it to Nebraska then it's on it's way or is already at the California Service center. That's what happened to me. I am pretty sure yours is there too. If you can keep an eye on your bank statements online to see when they cash your check that is helpful. Also, if there is someone on here who sent their K1 stuff around the same time you did, it gives you some small idea of where and when yours might begin processing too. I am sure it's fine! I was just curious, how do you know its on its way to California Service Center and why its sent to CSC, when your residence is Washington, which falls into Nebraska Service Center?

Nebraska and Texas do not process K-1's anymore so those are all forwarded to California. So, in the great wisdom of USCIS 3/4 of the k-1 petitions go to Cali and 1/4 to Vermont.
