Awwww, I'm not very good with my VSC guesstimations but let me do some highly unscientific research and I will get back to you...I was actually wondering what was going on with VSC they used to be very good at pumping those approvals out...they'e been so slooooooooow lately!

MAY filers breaking news......... We had a touch sometime today. Early this morning when I checked USCIS our last touch date was 08/23 (due to phone call) and now this evening our last update is saying 08/31. Prayerfully, CHRIS will notify us b/4 the weekend is over of our NOA-2 approval. MAY filers don't get discourage. Eventually, every one of us will receive our own good news. It is just a matter of time provided all the USCIS requirements are met. Hang in there…… even though the journey has been a bit frustrating not knowing when your file will be adjudicated. Cheers!

For us once I was told that it was ready to be assigned to a case officer, it was only a few days till we got our approval notice. From what I was able to get out of the officer on the phone, cases go from mail room to box, box to shelf, shelf to case officer, case officer back to mail room, mail room to NVC.

Funny thing is that unless you are missing something in your packet, the whole review takes less than 20 minutes.

I want our NOA2 . Does anyone think we're close?

I know this K1 Visa process is long and delayed, but I must tell you, Marife "Emma" has been working on getting her passport as long as we have had this K1 petition on file. She had to practically rebuild her life. All her personal documents and ID's we lost during a bad storm, most suffered water damage or was lost. In the Philippines, if there is no Old ID, it is tough to get a passport. She has recently submitted a new application for passport and it was approved....it was a small victory for us.

Now if we can just get this K1 approved and move on to the next step, it has been tough waiting, but now it is out of our hands and in the control of big govt.

We will all get our due attention, it's just a matter of time. I'm thinking this next week will be good, many of us are approaching the 120 day mark, it is about the avg waiting time at CSC these past couple of months. Good luck!!

The 1st time I called they told me that our case was in Mail room. The 2nd time I called they said it was not assigned yet. I guess maybe someone is a little lost there.

Another weekend...if ya'll lived closer we could have a Waiting, Waiting, Waiting party... To keep each other company. I miss my fiance. But it is nice to have Visa Journey to come to when you are feeling somewhat low as everyone here understands how it goes. *sigh*

I was traveling yesterday and just now got here to read all the ranting/supportive posts.

I must say that I agree with everything everyone here has said about the slowness, the frustrations and keeping positive. It is just such a frustratingly long stupid process but I know that having this thread to rant and rave has helped me put things in perspective ----- the most important part is we are not alone. We are a family of May filers and when the going gets tough we support each other and hold each other up. Even people who have gotten NOA2's (Annete, CM, okspider, etc) have been here to be angry/supportive on our behalf and lets us know that no matter where we are in the process we are here for each other.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and hopefully we will hear some more news starting Tuesday

It is just such a frustratingly long stupid process but I know that having this thread to rant and rave has helped me put things in perspective ----- the most important part is we are not alone. We are a family of May filers and when the going gets tough we support each other and hold each other up. Even people who have gotten NOA2's (Annete, CM, okspider, etc) have been here to be angry/supportive on our behalf and lets us know that no matter where we are in the process we are here for each other.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and hopefully we will hear some more news starting Tuesday

Long distance relationships are tough anyway; and adding to that stress by going through an agonizing wait makes the tension hard even when two people are totally in love and totally committed. That's the hard part. But the good part is that we're up next to bat!!! The good part is that our fiances', where ever they are in the world, are hanging on too and are in this together with us. And, sometimes, I've found that the best thing I can do is walk away from the computer, stop checking the USCIS website for awhile, and interact with people around me; because it's SO easy to drive myself mad staying on the computer too long.

Hang in there everyone!!! We are close to getting our NOA 2's!!! Soon we will get that good news!!!
