such a positive forum- congrats to everyone i'm so happy for you - stil bitter than i am waiting but non the less happy - i have watched the vsc slowly creep up on the chart as far as days to process i am waiting for it to take a very sharp turn and start heading lower for turn around time. ahhhhhhh

I just called CSC and they said that my case has been assigned to a person eventhough I don't have touches or anything like that. I used the old RFE trick but I was like like hey.. i wanna know what's going on with my case. So anywho they said I should get a notice of action within 60 days. Well I hope that is good news. It makes me feel better to know my case isn't just sitting around. SO YEAH!

The RFE trick worked for me today This is what I wrote in the VSC thread:

Hey VSC peeps!!!!

I just called VSC and got a nice woman on the phone. I asked her if there was a problem with my petition (via RFE trick) and she looked up my case and said that it has not been reviewed yet (grrr) but she did say that it should be coming off the shelf soon so hopefully that is some good news for all of us still waiting. She did say "it should not be much longer".

So for everyone waiting, hopefully it will not be too long

Yeah, I just spoke with someone at USCIS too---I had a legit concern as my fiance' has moved and needs a change of address on our petition.....while talking to her about that I *asked* if she could tell me if our case has been assigned......she actually said it wouldn't be assigned for about 90 more days since they are just now doing Feb. applicants.....so that tells you that she was reading off the processing time screen, not actually doing any looking up on the case. I understand they can't drop everything and tell us when our cases have been assigned etc, but come on!! Other May people are getting their NOA2's so I doubt her info. was very correct. At least, we can hope for sooner!!

She told you it probably won't be assigned to anyone!??!?!?!?!?!?!? What a bee-otch!!!! The first time I called I talked to someone with a bad attitude and told me to called customer service.....I haven't tried again. I just checked my case status and no touches!

Anyways, I have faith on what Zeenusah was told!!!!

I might try to give a call tomorrow!!!!

Hey guys, did you actually talk to someone at your service site? On one of the other threads someone mentioned that you won't get any information if you talk to someone on the main USCIS phone line. I called a couple of times using the RFE trick and the first time I got the message that they were transfering me to the main USCIS number, so I hung up. The next time I called I was transfered to someone at CSC. The guy I talked to was really nice. He said we should get approved soon. But, it doesn't really make any difference. I won't be happy until I get that approval email. I know you guys know how it feels. I'm tempted to call again to see if we've been assigned yet, but I'm afraid to hear that we haven't. I don't know what is worse, the not knowing or the knowing that we are still in limbo. Let's all send out our positive vibes and prayers for each other and hopefully every single one of us will hear something soon.

I hear you MusicGirl! I so want to call (even though I realize it isn't my turn yet) but I think being hopeful is better than being disappointed. I think I will give it a few more weeks. I am at 94 days since my noa1, so maybe at around 115 I will start making calls? I don't want to flood the phones & distract anyone who should be working on our approvals!!

Anyhow- try to stay busy everyone...it's the best way to make the time go by. Hopefully in a few months we will be spending our VJ time with our SOs!!!!! (Hard to imagine, isn't it )
