My fiance won't be coming until the beginning of April though as he is tied into a contract at work until the end of March. At least that will give him some extra time to prepare for the big move, spend some quality time with his family, and prepare everything that needs to be prepared. This is a HUGE MOVE he is making for ME and I think it is amazing!! Two and a half more months isn't so long to wait I guess

Congratulations to you too, Jennifer!! My fiance is going to try and come as quickly as possible after the interview date. But, because he works for the gov't, he wants to wait until he gets his visa approved before finalizing anything with work. He's already shipped most everything here, so that part's done.

I know I have been MIA in here for a while. Just wanted to let yall know that the interview is either on the 5th or 7th. In all the excitement I keep forgetting to ask him exactly when. But its one of those dates. I am scrambling to get everything ready to send out ASAP. Its so much stuff and I know missing 1 thing could be make or break. EEEEEEEEEEEK!!!! Anyone that had interview at london able to give some hints or pointers? Maybe give us some insight on some things?

I had my interview there in November and it was pretty painless. They just asked when we had met and whether and when I had been to see him. They needed his last tax return though.

I received this email notification this morning from the embassy in Moscow:

We've received the case and scheduled his visa interview for March 7, at 8 am.

I called everyday and finally spoke to a supervisor. I'm sure you feel helpless---I know many of us here know just how you feel. Demand to speak to a supervisor. That's crazy. What have they been telling you on all your contacts with them?

They have more stories than Mother Goose.First,they try to convince me that my case really isn't out of normal processing times because of the backlog.Then,they say "I don't know," which infuriates me.Then they say they have 2 million applications to do and they're "sorry." Then they say that they think they are doing background checks but are not sure.Then they say I just have to wait.The last thing I was told was to go to my local immigration office on a infopass.I've already done this 3 times.I also have one of my senators involved.

2 questions:

If we get a work stamp at POE in New York, does that mean he can work right away? I just talked to a lawyer on the telephone; a) he says they don't do that anymore and B) even if you get one, you can't work----doesn't make sense.

The I-864 (affadavit of support) has to be submitted with the I-485 (AOS). Can we use the same one we used for the K-1 interview or do we need a newer, updated one?

If he gets the temp EAD from JFK (haven't heard that it has stopped being given out) your fiance still needs to get a SSN before he starts working.

The I-134 is what your fiance should take to the interview. I-864 is for AOS.

They only asked for one year at my interview in November. I believe that they want 3 years if the USC is self-employed.

To avoid any delays i took the last three years tax transcript to my interview, they took them all.
