The patient one is checking in at VJ. Since my frustrations of two weeks ago things have picked up speed. After crying and finally getting a supervisor on our case at CSC, our documents arrived at NVC on 12/17/07 left NVC on 12/18/07 and arrived at the Moscow Embassy this morning 12/21/07!!! I couldn't be happier. I know I had the best night sleep last night that I have had in months.

Glad to hear that things are moving along for you :dance:

17th March 2010 - Started the removal of conditions process

22nd March 2010 - Application received by CSC

Hello all!

I have a question about the fees that are required at the interview. As far as I can tell, since my fiancee is classified as a nonimmigrant, she will only pay $131 for the processing of the DS-156K application and $85 for the biometrics. Will she also have to pay processing and security fees for form DS-230?? She is a national of Laos.

Also, I know that a medical examination is required, but are vaccinations also required before the interview, or can they be put off until after she arrives in America? According to the U.S. Department of State's website, vaccinations are optional.

Any clarification is greatly appreciated!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I am new to the forums, its nice to see how many that filed in May already have interviews scheduled and are almost DONE with this process. We are not as lucky as most, having our file go through administrative processing at the NVC and having no reason as to why, or how long the wait will take. I plan to call the NVC again tomorrow to see if it has been sent to Sweden yet, but as of right before the holidays, it was still sitting in Washington. Very frustrating!

I wish everyone the best of luck with this process, it certainly is not easy. Last time I saw my honey was in September and I have no idea when I will be able to see him again. I work, go to school, and have 2 kids, so traveling there is a lot easier said than done, but if we continue to have delays, I will find a way to travel out there to see him.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and New Year!

Jennifer (not-so-patiently waiting for my honey to be back in my arms...)

Can I ask a stupid question? If our case has gone to Washington, is it in administrative REVIEW or PROCESSING? Because I hear REVIEW is A LOT more time consuming and can take months, even years :( Anyone know? Thanks!

Whether it is AP or AR you just have to wait it out. There is no way to tell how long it will be.

Jennifer,

There is light at the end of the tunnel. Ours was put on AP when it arrive NVC and was released after about 5 weeks. Based on previous filers that were on AP, the average wait time was about 5 to 6 weeks. Eventually, your petition will be forwarded to the consulate where the beneficiary will be interviewed. Hang in there and compliments of the seasons.

Interviewed at US embassy in Moscow today. Visa approved!

She said the man was very kind and only asked a few questions about herself and me and then wished her good luck in America.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to my fellow May filers and I hope all those still stuck in some bureaucratic backwater will be processed out soon.
