seasuirl, AFAIK you always have to take the I-134 to the embassy when you have your interview. The evidence of support depends a little from embassy to embassy, but there are details in the first 2 instruction pages of the I-134 (it's 4 pages - 2 of instructions, 2 of the actual form) and there is more information here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=support.

When the embassy sends out packet 3 there should be a page of instructions, DS-2000 which lists the specific information required as evidence of support for that particular embassy.

You take the I-134 with you to the interview.

The evidence of support is the stuff you send in with the I-134 (letter of employment, paystubs, etc).

THANK U SO MUCH GUYS. i sent out my Papers today. hope i will get an appointment sooooooon.

Hugs to u all. i know how stressful everything is.

I'm so happy today!

I finally got through NVC's phone lines and discovered they forwarded our case to Manila back on November 6th!

It took me a total of 243 calls over the period of the last 5 business days to get through to a live representative.

That doesn't even include the busy signals I received inbetween.

Basically, what would happen is the automated service would take over after 1 minute, and then give you the option to press 5 again--at which point it would end the call with you and tell you to try back later.

However, on the call I made it through, the automated service put me on actual hold and started playing music.

Take my advice--if you aren't on music hold, then just hang up and call back--because you'll just get looped back.

If you get on the music, that means you made it through to the waiting line, and you need to stay on hold until they answer.

Only took 7 minutes once I finally got music.

I hope no one else has to call that many times to get through, but unfortunately, the only time I have available to call is during their prime time hours.

Finally got our NVC #, and I'm so thrilled at the moment!

Anyone know if there is a way to track when or if it has arrived to the Manilla embassy?

Congrats! I see yours was shipped to Manila the same day mine was.... There is a way to find out if the embassy has received it yet. Go to this link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68967 and it will give you lots of information. The following is copied from there. The phone number you need to call is 202-663-1225 then it's option 1, then 0.

4.4 The Department of State (DOS) number is within my signature. After the petition is approved (NOA2), the USC and/or beneficiary have the option of calling the DOS instead of the Manila Embassy to inquire when the electronic and/or hard copy case files have been sent out and received by the USE that we sent by the NVC. In addition the USC and/or beneficiary may call the DOS instead of the Manila Embassy to inquire when and if the medical exam and visa appointment dates are scheduled, which is very helpful when the Visa Interview Appointments website (Section 4.5) is down.

DOS NOTE: The DOS has no direct participation in the K1 process (only access to the computer system to view the status of cases).

You can also go to the Manila embassy website and check to see if any dates have been assigned to your case. Or just go here.

Let me know what you find out. I just called today and they told me the packet was sent out to Beth today. The website still doesn't show any dates for the case number yet. I hope they just need to update the system. Hopefully the packet Beth will receive will have dates already assigned.

I read in a previous post that you can call the State Department (202) 663-1225. The menu takes a while to wait through (I was hold for 18 minutes yesterday) so give yourself plenty of time & patience when you call. The lady told me it will take 6-8 weeks for it to reach Dublin which I'm hoping is bologna. My file left NVC a week ago, so I am going to try calling the embassy directly tomorrow. I'm hoping I can get some info without calling this number again :)

Good Luck!!

Thank you very much for the input! Since our packet has been following the same timelines through NVC and were likely mailed together, I am going to assume that Arlyn's packet was mailed out today. I'm just estatic!

I am wondering now if our fiancee's can be home by Christmas?!

Great! I wouldn't be surprised if the guy I talked to was mistaken, I bet both of ours arrived at the embassy today. I estimated that mine would get there on the 13th, and then there is the extra day for the holiday, that would make it today!.... Hopefully we will both hear good news before the week is out. At any rate it is good to know that it arrived there ok.

My DOS guy told me it may take 2 months or more before she is given a date, but from reading this forum we know that's not the case right now. I'm hoping for about 1 month till the interview, and I will spend Christmas with Beth and her family in PI. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Well, I finally got through to NVC after trying for 5 hours..still no record of receiving my case! :crying::crying: I called late last night and then kept trying today for better news, but no. I called CSC again this morning and they assured me it was sent out on the 6th. I told this to the lady at NVC when I finally got through, that tomorrow is 4 weeks from receiving my NOA2 and that people approved up to 3 weeks later than I, already have their NVC case numbers. She just said sorry, we have no record of your case. :(

Thanks, I just needed to vent with friends who understand my frustrations!:crying:

Finally our case is on its way to the Embassy!! I just called NVC (got through on 2nd attempt) and spoke to possibly the NICEST lady ever there... who volunteered information and was actually very pleasant about the whole thing. Our case was forwarded on 13th Nov... I am sooooo excited!!! Hang in there, all who are still waiting...

Awesome news!! Congratulations! :dance::thumbs:

Just got off the phone with NVC and even though CSC says mine was sent out on 11/6 (I've called CSC 3 times now and get the same answer) and others sent out on the same date have been received by NVC already, mine is MIA...no where in sight. They have no record of it. It has been 4 weeks today since my approval...I'm really getting tired of all this waiting :crying::crying::crying:

Hang in there u2rsobad. Yours may have already been there, but have not yet been entered into their system. I hope you will hear good news in the next couple of days.
