Congrats to those that have recently been approved, and my best wishes to all those still waiting!!

For any Japan filers, the Tokyo embassy moves extremely fast. Sayaka just received her interview date for 12/3. Looks like we will be coming back from Japan together when I go to visit!

That's great, Aaron!! I'm hoping they sent out our paperwork to NVC and Daisuke get's his interview soon as well...we can only hope at this point! Congrats to you and Sayaka!! :thumbs:(F)

freecake- good luck good luck! it will go gloriously! dave had no problems at all and although we had a crazy amoutn of documents with us incase they questioned they didn't! not sure what time your fiance has schedule for however dave's took about 2 hours and he was out!

The lady then proceeded to tell me to allow 4-6 weeks for the case to be transferred to the Consulate. 5 weeks waited to have it forwarded from USCIS to NVC. Now another 4-6 weeks wait to have it forwarded to the Consulate. The news doesn't get any better. :blink:

Nah, don't believe them :) I waited 40 days for mine to arrive at the NVC, but then it was sent to the embassy only two days later :) it DOES get better!!! Thank God! I would call NVC tomorrow. You will most likely have good news :)

She told me- My petition is in administrative processing. And there is no time frame.

I choose NOT to believe that it will take 4 - 6 weeks! :no:

Isn't "Administrative Processing" is when they run a background check? I remember reading a thread about it last night under the MENA forum.

So our case has been smokin since it got to the Embassy in Seoul. It almost took a month to get everything together for Packet 3, but once we did and requested the interview they replied in two days - to tell us the interview date would be in another 6! We're already talking about possibly my fiancee getting here in time for Thanksgiving with the fam :)

It's a little surreal having our reunion go from being this far-off date sometime in the future to roughly two weeks. I can't say how the other embassies perform, but don't be surprised if things start really taking a turn for the better once the NVC forwards your case. Best of luck everyone.

I just called CSC, was on hold nearly 10 min...and it's still in the staging area. Spoke to a very nice lady who took my name and telephone number and gave me her name as well, and said she'd email them to find out why mine was still sitting there and would try to call me back with any info.

We'll see if I actually hear from her. Fingers, eyes and legs crossed again that it goes out soon! :wacko:

Finally got NVC mail on Nov 5 saying petition was received Nov 1. That's 43 days from NOA2 to NVC.

In the letter it also says processing should take "within a week" to be sent visa-issuing post.

May 7, 2007 -- I-129F K1 sent to NSC

Dec 26, 2007 -- K1 Visa approved.
