What was your RFE for?

Hey Mirla. My RFE was because the officer reviewing my case did not see (overlooked) a form that WAS included in the packet. I just sent the requested form back with an explination saying the form was originally submitted and that it had been overlooked. I made a copy of the final packet right before I intitally sent it out and the form was in my copies, so I know it was included.

Oh well, I can see where mistakes can happen. I'm just glad the NOA-2 waiting game is over!

11/21/2007: NVC forwards petition to consulate in Bogota, Colombia

11/26/2007: Petition received by consulate in Bogota

12/04/2007: Received packet 3

12/05/2007: Interview Date issued - January 16, 2008

01/16/2008: Visa Approved

04/21/2008: Wedding Day

05/02/2008: K1 Visa Expires

YES!!!! NOA-2!!!! APPROVED!!!

Checked the USCIS website this morning and the petition was approved yesterday. My account was touched yesterday and the website was updated sometime between 7 pm last night and 9 am this morning. Finally, the long wait for the NOA-2 is over.

Now comes the wait for petitions to be sent to NVC!

Thanks for all the support and kind words from everyone, it really helps get thru this mess! Good luck to all apporved and those still in the wait!

Congratulations bundy!! Glad to hear they approved your case quickly once they received the RFE. I hope they speed things up and have your NOA2 mailed to NVC in a timely manner. No one should ever have to wait 4-6 weeks! :thumbs:

MR2NICE, when you called USCIS after you got a touch on Nov 1st, did they tell you they had shipped you petition to NVC? I got touched on the 1st also. When I called, they told me my petition was still in the staging area waiting to be shipped. I am hoping they were wrong and it was shipped on the 1st, thus the touch.

Guess what guys? I HAVE BEEN APPROVED!!!!! I checked USCIS site today. We were approved November 2. I'm so happy I could cry! I think I'm gonna drink instead!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Hi afterforever. I've made a call to USCIS on Wednesday (10/31) and the guy told me that it was still in the staging area and that he will put in an inquiry to have our case sent out right away. He said he was going to call me to let me know the status. Yesterday (11/2) I looked at the website and saw a touched on 11/1. I totally forgot that the touch was due to the call I made from the day before. I thought to myself maybe they did send it out so I called USCIS again and the lady told me that our case was sent out on 11/1. From what she told me, a large crate filled with NOA2 (by the thousands) was shipped out. If you got a touch on 11/1 then it could be that your case was also included in that crate. I'm hoping that yours and everyone else that just got approved made it in that batch. Or else you would have to wait until the next crate of NOA2 gets filled up. So it looks like the average time to get a crate filled up is between 4-5 weeks. Ours took 34 days. Again, I hope that yours made it the same trip from that touch. :thumbs:

You're not alone, we filed on the same day, same service center, still waiting for NOA2 until now. This is taking us way too long. I called USCIS on October 25, the service rep on the phone told me that I still have to wait for 60 days. Well, I hope we can get our approvals soon. Good luck to all of us still waiting. :innocent:
