Well THIS is weird....

I received my NOA1 on May 11. Then today, 2 1/2 months later, I go to my mailbox and find TWO envelopes from USCIS. Each contain another copy of the NOA1. Has anyone else had this happen?

It's not a big deal I suppose, but every little thing from USCIS makes my heart jump, so TWO envelopes had me shaking. I've read both pieces of paper over thoroughly to make sure they were indeed nothing more than receipt notices of the I129F... just seems a bit odd. :huh:

2007:

February - May: extended visit to States, engagement.

5/4: I-129F sent (Texas Service Center, forwarded to California Service Center)

5/11: Petition received at California Service Center.

5/16: Check cleared. NOA1 online (no hard copy received yet)

6/19: NOA1 hard copy arrived FINALLY

7/16: Sent off for Police Certificate (U.K.)

8/22: TOUCHED due to phone call (RFE Trick, was told case wasn't assigned yet)

9/20:APPROVED!!! After 127 days from NOA1 and 139 days from filing date.

10/23: Spoke to Kelly at NVC who said they should have received our petition by now. She advised I send a copy of our NOA2 directly to the NVC office, which I did immediately. :-)

10/26: NVC RECEIVES CASE!

10/30: NVC SENDS CASE TO LONDON CONSULATE

11/1: Consulate receives case in London AND sends out Packet 3.

11/6: Sent Packet 3 to Consulate (we'd downloaded the forms on VJ and had them completed already)

11/22: Appointment for Medical.

2008:

01/08: Interview scheduled for 10 a.m. APPROVED!!!

02/01/08: Stephen comes to America!!!

wow! good thing for you coz we haven't received any hard copy of NOA1 from them. but anyway, it's not that important.

I hope CSC will move faster now coz of the new division of service centers for processing the 129-F Petition.

We haven't ever received a hard copy either!!! JUST WANT THE NOA2!!! :blink:

At first i didn't get the NOA1 either...the way i found out about it.. check to see if the fee check was cashed...if it was then look on the back of the check...the case number is on the back of the cashed check....my number started with the letters EAC....not sure if everyone is the same...

yes--thanks---I've had my case number since May June 11 when the check was cashed---we don't need the NOA1 paper----JUST THE LOVELY NOA2 :innocent:

I read many posts on here regarding how stressful this process was prior to filing my visa package. Many people stated the waiting and waiting can drive you insane. When I read those posts they were just words on a page. Now that I am one of the "waiting", I truly understand the stress and craziness of this ordeal.

Let's hope that the flood gates open soon for us May filers. It would be very nice to see our adjudication dates jump foward instead of backwards all the time.

When I read those posts they were just words on a page. Now that I am one of the "waiting", I truly understand the stress and craziness of this ordeal.

Let's hope that the flood gates open soon for us May filers. It would be very nice to see our adjudication dates jump foward instead of backwards all the time.

While we are waiting---are there any computer geeks who can make a list of all May filers and when they have gotten their NOA1's and when they get there NOA2's. Somebody on the April thread is doing that---it will help us pass the time and see when May filers start getting that elusive NOA2 action :whistle:
